Alduin's Bane
Read the Elder Scroll at the Time-Wound to witness an ancient battle and learn the shout Dragonrend, then face Alduin on the Throat of the World.
- Questline: Main Quest – Act II
- Given by: Automatic once you hold the Elder Scroll
- Reward: The Dragonrend shout
- Where: Whiterun Hold
How to start
Starts by itself when you claim the Elder Scroll; return to the Throat of the World, where Paarthurnax waits.
Good to know
Alduin cannot be hurt while he is airborne, so Dragonrend is the only way to ground him. Reading the Scroll also strips every active blessing.
