Skyrim Dragon Priests & Named Dragons Checklist

Every named Dragon Priest and dragon in Skyrim, Dawnguard and Dragonborn: where each one waits, the mask it drops and the quest it belongs to.

  • Krosis: Bursts from the coffin beside the word wall at Shearpoint, usually while the dragon that nests there is still in the air. He fights with fireballs and a staff.
  • Volsung: Rises on Volskygge Peak, the open summit reached through the ruin of Volskygge, as you walk up to the word wall.
  • Hevnoraak: Wakes on his throne at the end of Valthume once his three vessels of blood are poured out. He lays walls of lightning across the floor.
  • Otar the Mad: Sealed in a sarcophagus in Ragnvald Temple behind two skull keys. Setting both keys in place lets him out.
  • Rahgot: Waits in the last hall of Forelhost with a guard of draugr, at the end of Siege on the Dragon Cult.
  • Vokun: Guards the scroll Anska is after, in the throne room at the end of High Gate Ruins.
  • Morokei: Held behind a barrier in the last chamber of Labyrinthian. Kill the two enthralled wizards who keep it up, then fight him for the Staff of Magnus.
  • Nahkriin: Guards the portal to Sovngarde on the roof of Skuldafn Temple, and holds the staff that opens it.
  • Ahzidal (Dragonborn): Raised at the bottom of Kolbjorn Barrow when the dig reaches its last chamber. A master of fire who never stops summoning.
  • Dukaan (Dragonborn): Rises from his coffin in White Ridge Sanctum, beside the word wall and a Black Book, at the end of White Ridge Barrow.
  • Zahkriisos (Dragonborn): Waits beyond the door that only the Bloodskal Blade can open, in the barrow under Raven Rock Mine.
  • Vahlok the Jailor (Dragonborn): The priest set to guard Miraak, and still at his post at the end of Vahlok's Tomb. He carries no mask.
  • Miraak (Dragonborn): The first Dragonborn, fought on the summit of Apocrypha. Each time his health runs out he devours a dragon to restore it.
  • Mirmulnir: The first dragon you fight, at the Western Watchtower outside Whiterun. His is the soul that shows what you are.
  • Sahloknir: Raised from his mound above Kynesgrove by Alduin himself while you and Delphine look on.
  • Vuljotnaak: Lies in an unmarked mound north-east of Sunderstone Gorge and south-west of Sleeping Tree Camp. Alduin raises him once Diplomatic Immunity has begun, and he circles the mound from then on.
  • Nahagliiv: Lies in the mound on the hill just south-west of Rorikstead. Alduin raises him during Alduin's Wall, and he holds off from the village until you come near.
  • Viinturuth: Lies in the mound beside Lake Yorgrim, north-west of Anga's Mill. He rises after The Throat of the World.
  • Vulthuryol: Strike the great glowing orb that hangs over the Silent City in Blackreach with Unrelenting Force and he bursts out of it.
  • Paarthurnax: The old master of the Greybeards. The Blades demand his death after Alduin's Wall, and killing him sours the Greybeards for good. Sparing him costs you the Blades instead.
  • Alduin: The World-Eater. Driven off on the Throat of the World in Alduin's Bane and finished in Sovngarde with three heroes of old at your side.
  • Skeletal Dragon: A dragon of bare bone that claws its way up in the first great hall of Labyrinthian. It leaves no soul.
  • Durnehviir (Dawnguard): The undead dragon bound to the Soul Cairn. He falls at the end of Beyond Death and returns as an ally you can summon.
  • Voslaarum (Dawnguard): One of the twin dragons that burst through the ice of the frozen lake in the Forgotten Vale, beside the word wall.
  • Naaslaarum (Dawnguard): One of the twin dragons that burst through the ice of the frozen lake in the Forgotten Vale, beside the word wall.
  • Krosulhah (Dragonborn): Sent by Miraak to wait outside Nchardak, where he attacks as you leave with the Black Book at the end of The Path of Knowledge.
  • The Reaper (Dawnguard): Lay three Reaper Gem Fragments on the altar in the Reaper's Lair, a walled building in the Soul Cairn, to call him out.
  • The Forgemaster (Dawnguard): A Dwarven centurion that breathes fire instead of steam. It climbs out of the lava when you try to use the Aetherium Forge.
  • Karstaag (Dragonborn): The ghost of a frost giant king. Set the Skull of Karstaag on the throne in his ruined castle to summon one of the hardest fights in the game.
  • Ebony Warrior (Dragonborn): Seeks you out in a city once you reach level 80 and asks for a last battle at his camp, the Last Vigil. He has every perk a warrior could want.
