The Whispering Door
Jarl Balgruuf's youngest son speaks of a voice behind a locked door in Dragonsreach. Find out what lies behind it.
- Questline: Daedric Quests – Daedric Princes
- Given by: Hulda
- Needs level 20
- Reward: Ebony Blade
- Where: Whiterun
How to start
Finish Dragon Rising and reach level 20, then ask Hulda at the Bannered Mare in Whiterun for rumours. Asking Jarl Balgruuf about his children does not start it.
Can be missed
Only Hulda's rumour starts it. If she dies, Ysolda takes over the Bannered Mare but will not give it, so keep Hulda alive until you have the quest.
Good to know
Taking the Ebony Blade completes the quest. Feeding it the lives of friends or followers to restore its power is optional.
Needed first
Collectibles from this quest
