Quests

  • Build Your Own Home (Hearthfire): Ask the steward in Falkreath, Morthal or Dawnstar about land for sale once the Jarl thinks well of you. From level 9 a courier may also bring a letter from the Jarl of Falkreath offering the first plot. Reward: A homestead built to your own plan.
  • Kidnapped for Ransom (Hearthfire): Can happen when your spouse lives in one of the three homesteads and is not travelling with you: you come home to find bandits at the door.

Places

  • Lakeview Manor (Hearthfire) – Homestead: The plot north of Pinewatch where you can build a homestead, sold by the Jarl of Falkreath.
  • Windstad Manor (Hearthfire) – Homestead: The Hearthfire plot of Hjaalmarch, north of Ustengrav. The land is bought from the Steward of Morthal.
  • Heljarchen Hall (Hearthfire) – Homestead: The Hearthfire plot of the Pale, between Loreius Farm to the south and Fort Dunstad to the north.

Achievements

  • Proud Parent: Adopt a child.
  • Landowner: Buy a plot of land.
  • Architect: Build three wings onto a house.
  • Land Baron: Buy three plots of land.
  • Master Architect: Build three houses.
